Kristl Buluran, Worksite Wellness Specialist
(510) 643-9082

As a former dancer, Kristl’s lifelong passion for physical activity and exercise began early on as a teenager.  As a Worksite Wellness Specialist for Health*Matters, she has taken this passion and extended it towards helping others value physical fitness as key component for living a healthy lifestyle.  Kristl holds a Masters degree in Public Health from UCLA.  She has also been involved in the fitness industry for over 20 years, having worked with Bally’s Total Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer, and with Nike as a pacer/trainer for the Nike Women’s Marathon Training Program.  Through her development and facilitation of several Health*Matters programs, including the Step Up To Fitness Pedometer Program, FUNctional Fitness, and I CAN! Commit to Activity and Nutrition (formerly called Eat Smart, Get Fit!), Kristl’s expertise in exercise and proper training has assisted many faculty and staff at UC Berkeley to increase and improve their physical activity levels, and achieve their fitness goals.

Kristen Rasmussen, Registered Dietitian
(510) 642-8410

In Kristen’s role as Worksite Wellness Dietitian for Health*Matters she works toward increasing access to healthy and sustainable food on campus through the Eat Well Berkeley Initiative as well as helping to foster healthy habits by leading cooking classes for faculty and staff. Kristen originates from the far Northern California coastline, graduated from Cal with a BS in dietetics, then went on to obtain a Masters in Human Nutrition from Arizona State University. She currently resides in San Francisco where she enjoys exploring the local food scene on foot and making food “the old-fashioned way,” often with goods harvested or foraged nearby. Kristen has a strong passion for nutrition and food sustainability and believes a healthy lifestyle necessitates the enjoyment of great food.
