Over 100 campus members -- faculty, staff, and students -- came
together October 11, 2006 for the fourth annual Campus Walk for
Breast Cancer, honoring colleagues, friends, loved ones, and others
who have been touched by breast cancer.
The Walking Leaders led the crowd through a brief stretch to
warm up before the walk. The Walking Leaders and Trish Ratto,
manager of Health*Matters, greeted the walkers and encouraged
everyone to remember and spread the message of the importance
of early detection for breast cancer.
Following a 20-minute walk, participants shared their experiences
and stories with one another and picked up "Early Detection"
cards to share with colleagues, friends or family.
The event was sponsored by Health*Matters and the campus Breast
Health Committee.
Health*Matters would like to acknowledge and thank the following
organizations and campus departments for their generous donations
and commitment in helping us make this event possible:
And thank you to all those who participated in this
important event!
