Healthy Mondays: Wellness Incentive Program
Oct. 5-Nov. 30
Register at the Healthy Mondays webpage.

Make every Monday the day to start and sustain healthy behaviors. Use this 8-week program to help set and track simple goals that will focus on quick, healthy, and budget-friendly meals. Registered participants will receive a Healthy Monday Memo Board, Everyday Healthy Meals recipe book and a weekly email with tips, updates, and encouragement.

Dancing for Fitness
1st Friday of every month, Sep. 4, Oct. 2, Nov. 6, and Dec. 4, 12:10-1 pm, 251 Hearst Gymnasium

Fit some fun and fitness into your day with these free, beginner dance classes including ballet, belly dancing, hip hop, salsa and more. No partner required. Enroll at UCB Learning Center.

Know Your Numbers Health Screening ($10 fee)
Wednesday, Sep. 9; or Tuesday, Sep. 15; or Friday, Sep. 11 or Sep. 18, 7:30-10 am, Tang Ed Center

Know Your Numbers is a fasting health screening for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, glucose, blood pressure, and optional body mass index (BMI), waist circumference and body fat. Receive your confidential results immediately and attend Leading a Healthy Lifestyle (optional workshop) to gain a better understanding of your results and resources. Enroll at UCB Learning Center.

**Please note: The Staywell and Kaiser Health Assessment (HA) tools can provide you with a more complete health profile when you are able to provide your numbers received through this screening.

Leading a Healthy Lifestyle workshop
Wednesday, Sep. 30, 12:10-1 pm, Tang Ed Center

Gain a better understanding of specific diet and exercise habits to reduce your health risks and the resources available to you. This workshop is a good first step following Know Your Numbers health screening. Enroll at UCB Learning Center.

Step Up to Fitness Pedometer Program
4th Tuesday of every month, Sep. 22 or Oct. 27 or Nov. 24, 12:10-12:30 pm, Tang Ed Center

Find out how you can fit fitness into your day and be physically active by walking 10,000 steps wearing a pedometer. Participants will have an opportunity to purchase an Accusplit AE2720STEP pedometer for sale, $7 (tax included, cash or check only). Enroll at UCB Learning Center.

Quick & Healthy Lunches
Tuesday, Sep. 29, 12:10-1 pm, Haas Pavilion Club Room

Demonstration of simple lunch recipes and samples will be provided. Enroll at UCB Learning Center.

Eat Smart Get Fit ($30 fee)
Wednesdays (class), Oct. 7 - Nov. 18, 12:10-1 pm, Tang Ed Center;
Mondays (workout), Oct. 12 - Nov. 16, 12:10-1:30 pm, Edwards Track

This 6-week action-based program jumpstarts you into a healthy lifestyle. Includes fitness and nutrition assessments, weekly group workout with a personal trainer, class sessions with the registered dietitian and an Accusplit pedometer. Participants are encouraged to walk at least three times a week. Enroll at UCB Learning Center.

FUNctional Fitness
Thursday, Oct. 8; or Tuesday, Nov. 3, 12:10-1 pm, Tang Ed Center

Free, Use your own body weight, No equipment needed. Learn exercises to energize and improve your ability to move with budget-friendly strength and flexibility routines that can be done anywhere, anytime. Participants will receive an exercise band and a guide for different types of workouts. Enroll at UCB Learning Center.

Restorative Yoga Introduction
Monday, Oct. 12 or Nov. 30, 12:10-1 pm, Tang Ed Center

In this introductory class, participants will learn how Restorative Yoga encourages a state of deep relaxation using simple poses that can be done anywhere. Enroll at UCB Learning Center.

Get fresh ideas for delicious meals that are inexpensive, healthy and quick to prepare for the working adult and busy family. Enroll at UCB Learning Center.

Adult CPR with AED ($50 for RSF members, $65 for non-members)
Friday, Nov. 20, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm, RSF Conference Room

Learn life-saving CPR and receive certification from the American Red Cross. Enroll online at http://calbears.berkeley.edu and go to the Fitness section. Enrollment is limited. 643-5151

The Walking Group meets every MWF, 12:10 pm, at the Campanile. Fit 30-40 minutes of walking into your work day for the benefits of social support, stress relief, and renewed energy.
