Cal For the Cure 2008
The sixth annual Cal for the Cure Campus Walk
for Breast Cancer will be on Wednesday, October 15, 2008
from 12:10-1 pm at the Campanile (south side). Open to the campus
community, including faculty, staff, students, and affiliates.
Walk with Health*Matters on this day to come together
as a community and honor colleagues, friends, loved ones, and
others who have been touched by breast cancer.
This is an opportunity to attain support, strength,
and awareness together. Come learn about the importance of early
detection, as well as healthy eating and exercise habits, in reducing
the risk of getting breast cancer.
There will be a 20- minute walk throughout campus
to commemorate October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. By walking
you can help raise awareness about breast cancer throughout the
campus community and show your support for campus members who
have been touched by this disease.
After the walk there will be a short reception with
refreshments and a chance to connect with all those who have come
together.
Check back often for more news and information about the
Cal for the Cure Walk 2008.
