SHEP Workshops

SHEP offers customized sexual health workshops facilitated by peer educators. Common settings include residence halls, student group meetings, fraternities and sororities, and others. Most workshops are on campus, but occasionally we go into the community for special requests. Workshops are tailored for each request, both for content and presentation style.

Topics we can cover in a workshop:

• safer sex and how to make it fun,
• alternatives to sex,
• sexually transmitted infections,
• sexual pleasure and orgasm,
• birth control and emergency contraception,
• LGBTIQQ sexual health issues,
• sex and relationships,
• and many more!

Presentation styles include games, discussion, anonymous Q&A, lecture, and others. We will customize your workshop with the topics and styles that work best for your group.

If you would like SHEP to facilitate a workshop for your group, please submit a request online. Keep in mind that we need at least one week's notice to accommodate your request, but more advance notice is better. Please also remember that you are responsible for publicizing the workshop. You can use flyers, e-mail announcements, snacks, and other ways to promote the event.
