University Health Services-Tang Center has several types of clinics
tailored to meet the needs of busy Cal students. When you call to schedule
an appointment for medical care at the Tang Center, please be prepared
to describe the nature of your problem. You will be directed to the
clinic that best matches your needs. This can mean you may be transferred
to speak with an Advice Nurse, directed to Urgent Care, advised to come
to a drop-in clinic, or scheduled for a same-day or future appointment.

care clinician, the Tang Center offers the services of specialist
physicians in ten areas: Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology,
General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology (ENT),
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pulmonary and Urology.

desk, located on the first floor) to schedule an appointment.

Health educators work in a confidential setting to assist students
with learning about self-care and healthy lifestyle choices. Topics
include but are not limited to stress management, lack of concentration,
short term sleep problems, head/body aches, test anxiety and sexuality
problems.

Trained peer educators are available to talk about safer sex and how to make
it fun, birth control and emergency contraception, sexual communication and decision-making,
and more. Individuals and couples welcome.

| Cancel an appointment |
Call (510) 643-7033, 24 hours a day, to cancel an appointment.
You must cancel at least 24 hours in advance or you will be billed
a Late Cancellation Fee.

You can request a specific clinician if you have someone in mind,
or you can explain your need or problem when making an appointment.
We will make every effort to schedule you with an appropriate
clinician at the earliest possible date.

| Eligibility |
All registered students are eligible to receive care
at University Health Services Tang Center, regardless of type of
health insurance coverage. Your registration fees cover the cost
of most primary care visits; however, there are fees for procedures,
lab tests, x-rays and medications if they are indicated. See Fees
