Request What to Do
About pregnancy testing (confidential)

If you want to check if you are pregnant:

1.) You don't need an appointment. Come to Clinic 4 at the Tang Center, Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 11:30 am and 1:00- 4:30 pm (the clinic opens at 9 am on Thursdays). Bring your student ID card and UHS gold medical card.

2.) Tell the receptionist you want a pregnancy test (urine or blood test). You will receive forms to complete.

3.) Take the lab order form to the Laboratory (1st floor), and put it in the basket. The lab staff will call your name when it’s your turn.

4.) For test results, call the clinic nurse at (510) 643- 7110. If you get tested in the morning, you can get your results that afternoon. Otherwise, you can get your results the next day.

Note: Home tests are reliable and can be purchased at pharmacies and grocery stores. However, if you are pregnant, a laboratory test is necessary to get insurance authorization for further medical care.
