Educational Trainings/Groups

CARE offers programs on a variety of issues by request from departments, or by open enrollment in classes. Topics include (but are not limited to) stress management, instant relaxation, and coping with transition/change.

Registration is required for these workshops through ICE (Interactive Class Enrollment).


Fall 2008 Workshop

  • Sleep
    Tuesday, Sept. 23, 12:10-1:30 pm, Tang Ed Center
    How much of stress is a sleep issue? This workshop will discuss some of the facts and myths about sleep and the impact on our daily lives, and explore options and resources to improve sleep issues and our capacity to handle stress.

  • Developing Emotional Resiliency
    Thursday, Oct. 16, 12:10-1:30 pm, Tang Ed Center

  • Beyond Stress Management

  • Further Introduction to Mindfulness Training
    Tuesday, Dec 2, 12:10-1:30 pm, Tang Ed Center
    Mindfulness training is a form of meditation adapted for use in everyday life. This workshop follows last fall's training, by introducing various methods to increase one's awareness & focus through stress reduction exercises & mindful meditation.
