Campus Walk for Breast Cancer 2005

About 100 campus members -- faculty, staff, and students -- came together October 5, 2005 for the third annual Campus Walk for Breast Cancer, honoring colleagues, friends, loved ones, and others who have been touched by breast cancer.

The Walking Leaders led the crowd through a brief stretch to warm up before the walk. Sheila Williams, one of the Walking Leaders, greeted the walkers and encouraged everyone to remember and spread the message of the importance of early detection for breast cancer.

Following a 20-minute walk, participants shared their experiences and stories with one another and picked up "Early Detection" cards to share with colleagues, friends or family.

The event was sponsored by Health*Matters and the campus Breast Health Committee.
