Many of us find it challenging to be physically active, whether we are too busy, too overwhelmed, or just too tired. Health*Matters encourages faculty and staff to be part of the CalWalks culture by taking small steps to a healthier way of life. See Strawberry Creek - A Walking Tour of Campus Natural History, a 20-page guide on about Strawberry Creek and its history, fish pools, the Eucalyptus Grove and lots, lots more. - Campus Walking Tours
Free, guided campus walking tours, led by expert student guides, take place daily, seven days a week, rain or shine, excluding some university holidays and break periods. See Visitor Services for more information and to make a reservation.

Annual Cal for the Cure Cancer Awareness Walk |

On Wednesday, May 23, UC Berkeley faculty and staff celebrated the third annual, system-wide UC Walks event to raise awareness for committing to walk a minimum of 30 minutes a day as part of National Employee Health and Fitness Month. Over 600 staff, faculty, and retirees walked a total of 18,390 minutes or 1,226 miles. That's the equivalent of 47 marathon distances walked or the distance from Berkeley, California to Chicago, IL!
