Healthy Office Resource Guide
This resource guide provides information about campus resources on
these issues - healthy lifestyles, stress, ergonomic computer use, back
problems, and personal safety. Its purpose is to help supervisors support
an injury and illness prevention program that effectively addresses
the health and safety needs of the workplace.
Healthy Lifestyles

Workshops and behavior change classes available for all faculty and
staff, as well as 15 and 30-minute orientations and workshops for staff
meetings and departments.
- Step it Up!, offered monthly, a 50-minute workshop on leading
a more active lifestyle, particularly with the option to use a pedometer
(available $12). Also includes strength and stretching exercise routines
for anytime, anywhere.
- Eating Well for a Healthier You, a 50-minute workshop on
the foundations of a healthy diet for life.
- Eat Smart, Get Fit, a 6-week behavior change class for improving
eating and exercise habits, creating healthy meal plans, and preventing
and managing chronic disease conditions through healthy eating and
exercise.

central work area.

reasonable rates with payroll deduction. Also offered are client services

Located at 1 Sproul Hall, this full-service department with 77 officers
has primary law enforcement jurisdiction on the campus and associated
University properties. The department handles all patrol, investigation,
crime prevention education, emergency preparedness, and related law
enforcement duties for the campus community and operates 24 hours a
day, seven days a week.

safety information, and prevention of theft and burglary on campus.

Community Service Officers (CSOs) provide a walking escort to destinations
near campus, including nearby residences, public transportation or parking
facilities, during the evening hours. The service is free, available
365 days per year. Call to request an escort.
