1. All students can use services at Tang, regardless of their insurance plan. Many students don't realize they can still get affordable care at Tang even if they don't have SHIP.
   
   
2. A Gold Card is issued to all students on their first visit at Tang. It's not an insurance card, so what is it? It has your name and UHS medical record number and you'll use this when you check in for services at Tang. (no more Gold Card! Click here for details)
   
   
3. At Tang, the ONLY difference for students who have SHIP and those who don't is what they pay!
   
   
4. Have SHIP? Don't get stuck with the bill! Aside from Emergency Care, you always need authorization from a UHS clinician prior to seeking services outside of Tang, or else your claims will be denied.
