About Sexual Health and Sexuality
Sexual health and sexuality are relevant to all of us - whether you’re a sexual novice, a sexpert, or abstinent. It doesn't matter whether you are single, dating, in a relationship; it doesn’t matter how you identify yourself sexually. Sexuality is part of who you are, and healthy sexuality is important to your overall wellness. You should have as much information as possible to make informed choices about sexuality. The information and resources listed here can help you make healthy sexual choices now and in the future.

For Students
  • Medical Appointments: For STI/HIV testing, pregnancy testing, annual exams, and vaccines. Call (510) 642-2000.
  • Sexual Health Education Program (SHEP).
    • Any Cal student can make an appointment to see a trained peer educator to talk about a variety of sexual health issues. Partners are also welcome to attend. Call (510) 642-2000.
    • Peer educators are available to lead workshops about sexuality for your living center, class, or student group. You can request a workshop online.

Alternatives to Sex: Outercourse
Information about "outercourse" options for sexual activity, for people who choose not to have sexual intercourse (affiliated with Planned Parenthood).

Youth Resource
A website by and for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning young people, with a focus on sexual health and other issues.

Good Vibrations
A diverse, woman-focused retailer providing sex-positive products and accurate sex information in order to enhance customers' sex lives and promote healthy attitudes about sex.

National Sexuality Resource Center
A project to advance sexual literacy and research through training, education, and policy work (affiliated with San Francisco State University).

Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS)
Advocacy for accurate sexual health information, comprehensive sex education, and public policy.
