Tang Center Regular Business Hours

- During the regular school year, Tang Center hours for most offices are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday.
- Urgent Care is open 8 am - 6 pm, Monday - Friday; 9 am - 5 pm (last check-in 4:30 pm) on Saturday.
- Pharmacy is open 8:30 am - 6 pm, Monday - Friday; 9 am - 12:30 pm and 1-5 pm on Saturday.
- The Tang Center is closed Sundays and holidays.

| Cancel appointments | Medical appointments: Call (510) 643-7033, 24 hours a day, to cancel an appointment. You must cancel at least 24 hours in advance or you will be billed a Late Cancellation Fee. Counseling appointments: Call (510) 642-9494 (CPS) or (510) 642-6074 (Social Services) 24 hours a day, to cancel an appointment. | Emergency contraception | The Morning After Pill, used for emergency contraception (not birth control) needs to be taken within 72 - 120 hours of unprotected intercourse or a broken condom. (It is most effective if taken within 72 hours.) If you cannot wait for the Tang Center to open, check www.ec-help.org for pharmacies that provide emergency contraception. | Dental emergency | UC SHIP members can visit Delta Dental online for a list of dentists or call (888)335-8227 to speak to a dental plan representative. |
| UHS Health Net members | Call (510) 642-1976 to make an appointment. If you have an urgent problem that cannot wait until the Tang Center is open, please call After Hours Assistance at (510) 643-7197 to reach the on-call doctor. |
| Insurance authorization | For UC SHIP members, no authorization from the Student Health Insurance Office is required for visits to an emergency room or urgent care center when Tang is closed. Please provide facility with your Anthem Blue Cross card. Claims submitted to Anthem Blue Cross will be processed according to the UC SHIP benefits.
