Support and resources for those affected by the gulf hurricanes
We join the nation in our profound sympathy for the people of the gulf region, and express our concern and support for faculty, staff and students with loved ones affected by the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The following resources may be of assistance.
For Students:
- Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) is located at 3300 Tang Center. Students may by seen on a drop-in, urgent basis.
For Faculty and Staff:
- Care Services for Faculty
and Staff, the UCB employee assistance program, is available for
confidential support at the Tang Center. CARE Services also includes
elder care counseling for campus caregivers of seniors and dependent
adults, including long distance caregiving. Telephone consulations
and appointments for office visits are available by calling (510)
643-7754.
For those wanting to donate to humanitarian efforts or for more
information:

Berkeley's Katrina Emergency Fund
Help students who have been displaced by Hurricane Katrina and are now attending UC Berkeley on a temporary basis. This fund will help to defray expenses, such as educational and housing costs, related to supporting the affected undergraduate and graduate students.
