Computerized Career Guidance Programs
The Career Counseling Library has two career guidance programs - MyRoad
and Eureka. The programs can help you match your interests, personality
and skills with majors or career options.
What is MyRoad.com?
MyRoad.com
is a web-based guidance program that helps you explore and research
college majors and careers. The program can help you learn more about
your interests and how they relate to majors. Register for an
online account at the Library.

What is EUREKA?
EUREKA, the California Career Information
System, contains self-assessments and occupational and educational information
to assist in career exploration and decision-making. Visit the
Library to access the program.

- Microskills IV - A skills preferences card sort to help you
make career decisions.
- Occ-U-Sort - A preference questionnaire to help you identify
occupations that may be of interest to you.
- Crosswalks - Cross references between EUREKA occupations
and results from the Strong Interest Inventory, an inventory you can
take through Counseling & Psychological Services.
- XPLOR - An index of databases contained in Eureka including
information on the fastest growing industries and occupations
- Occupations - In-depth descriptions of over 800 occupations.
- Programs of Study - Descriptions of graduate school majors
including admission criteria, typical coursework, graduation requirements
and lists of schools offering a particular area of study.
- Short Term Training - Information on California adult educational
programs, community colleges, vocational programs, regional occupational
programs and CSU and UC extension programs.
- Colleges and Universities - Information on four-year colleges
and universities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
- Financial Aid - A sortable database of over 6,000 scholarships
and awards.
- Industries - Descriptions of major industries
- S.B.O. (Steps to Business Ownership) - A guide to establishing
and running your own business.
