the Eating Disorders Treatment Team At University Health Services there
is a team of health care providers who help students with eating disorders. The
Eating Disorders Treatment Team (EDTT) members include physicians, nurse practitioners,
a nutritionist, psychologist, psychiatrists, a social worker, and registered nurses,
all of whom have special training in the treatment of eating disorders and are
sensitive to the difficulties that are part of recovery. The team addresses the
physical, mental and nutritional aspects of an eating disorder. This service is
available to all Cal and Mills students. As part of the evaluation process,
students meet with a physician or nurse practitioner and the nutritionist. The
EDTT members then meet to decide which treatment plan is best, what care can be
provided by UHS, and what might be needed in the way of community resources. Treatment
plans always address psychological, medical and nutritional needs of the student.
The EDTT works with the Student Health Insurance Office to maximize the student's
health care benefits. Call the UHS Clinic nurse at 643-7110 to discuss your
particular situation and how EDTT can best meet your needs. Back
