Katherine Bedeian, NP, MPH Katherine Bedeian joined UHS in 2000 and serves as a Nurse Practitioner. She received her master's degree in Public Health ('92) from San Jose State University and her master's degree in nursing ('96) from University of California, San Francisco.

Josephine G. Billington, RN, NP, MPA Jo Billington joined UHS in 1991 and serves as Clinical Services Operations Director. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing ('73) from University of California, San Francisco and her master's degree in Public Administration ('85) at Cal State Hayward in Health Administration. She no longer sees patients, but was a Pediatric and Gynecological Nurse Practitioner ('74-'90). Billington worked for almost 20 years at La Clinica de la
Raza in Oakland, CA, which serves low income families. She
received the Chancellor's Outstanding Staff Award ('04) and the
Berkeley Staff Assembly Certificate of Excellence in Management
('97) and ('05). |

Barbara Bodle, RN, MSN, MPH, FNP Barbara Bodle has been a Nurse Practitioner at UHS since 1993. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing ('78) from Azusa Pacific University, and her master's degree in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner ('86) from University of California, San Francisco. She then received her master's degree in Public Health ('87) from University of California, Berkeley. In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest
in college health, she has special clinical interests in eating
disorders and women's health. |

Pamela Cameron, MSN, FNP Pamela Cameron serves as Associate Director of Public Health, Quality Improvement and Specialty Services. Pam joined UHS in 1987. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner-Enterostomal Therapy. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Skidmore College and her master's degree in nursing from Samuel Merritt College.

Jane Ernstthal, NP Jane Ernstthal joined UHS in 2011 as a nurse practitioner in Primary Care, and originally in 2009 as a registered nurse in Urgent Care. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and completed a bachelor's degree in Psychobiology at Occidental College, a bachelor's degree in nursing at Georgetown University, and a master's degre in nursing at the University of California, San Francisco Ernstthal also works at several other student health centers in the Bay Area, and with the San Francisco Department of Public Health. She participates annually in global health projects, most recently taking her to Malawi, Kenya, Haiti, Colombia, and Mexico, and she was one of the first NP students to join the medical residents as a Global Health Clinical Scholar at UCSF. Ernstthal has special clinical interest in family planning, women’s health, and global health. |

Lee Marshall Fagen, RN, MSN, ANP Lee Fagen serves as Urgent Care supervisor and has been with UHS since 1998. He is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner Certified Specialist by the American Nurses' Credential Center. He received his associate degree in nursing from Mesa Community College ('83), his Bachelor's degree in nursing ('90) from University of San Francisco and his Master's degree in nursing ('92) from the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing. In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest in college health, he has a special interest in sexual health education. Fagen served with the Peace Corps in Ecuador. |

Tish Harwood, RN, NP Tish Harwood joined UHS in 1978 and serves as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing ('69) at Cornell University and completed the University of California, San Francisco Adult Nurse Practitioner Program ('76). In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest in college health, she has special clinical interests in chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, allergy, hypertension, diabetes, and dermatology) and women's health. Harwood received the Tang Special Performance Award ('94) and Tang Staff Bonus Award ('99). She also received the University of California, San Francisco Preceptor of the Year Award ('01) for precepting University of California, San Francisco Family Nurse Practitioner students. |

Susan Light, RN, MSN, NP Susan Light joined UHS in 1993 and serves as a Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified by the American Nurses' Association as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. She received her bachelor's degree ('73) at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, and her master's degree in nursing and Nurse Practitioner Certification ('77) at Pace University/New York Medical College. In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest
in college health, Light has special clinical interests in women's
health and family planning, and she is one of three clinicians
who insert IUDs. |

Maile C. Matier, RN, MSN, FNP-C Maile Matier joined UHS in 1998 and serves as a Nurse Practitioner in the Medical Clinics, Urgent Care, and the Allergy/Travel Clinic. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses' Association. Matier received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Arizona and her master's degree in nursing from Sonoma State University. In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest
in college health, she has special clinical interests in asthma,

Wendy Peterson, RN, MSN, FNP Wendy White Peterson joined UHS in 2011 and serves as a Nurse Practitioner in the Primary Care Clinics. She is a family nurse practitioner, and received her bachelor’s degree in theatre from Penn State University ('94), and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of California, San Francisco. Peterson spent six years working in Adult Community Medicine with Lifelong Medical Care in East and West Oakland. She also taught at Lifelong, and for four years served as a preceptor for FNP students from UCSF. Peterson has special clinic interest in asthma, women’s health, pelvic floor health and chronic disease management. |

Adriana Schoenberg, RN, FNP Adriana Schoenberg is a nurse practitioner that has been with UHS since 1985. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing and her PHN ('76) from Cal State University, Hayward. She then received her Family Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Certification ('81) at University of California, Davis. In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest in college health, she has special clinical interests in mental health, women's health, and immigrant health. She is one of three clinicians who insert IUDs. Schoenberg serves as chair of the Eating Disorders Treatment
Team. She received the UHS Distinguished Service Award ('89, '94,
'96, '97, '99) and the University of California, Berkeley Excellence
in Management Award ('97). |

Vicki Sommer, RN, MSN, FNP Vicki Sommer joined UHS in 1992 and serves as a Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified by the American Nurses Association as a Family Nurse Practitioner ('88). Valerie Stoller, RN, FNP, MFT Valerie Stoller serves as a Nurse Practitioner and has been with UHS since 1991. She received her bachelor's degree ('73) from Antioch College, her bachelor's degree in nursing ('77) from University of California, San Francisco, and her FNP ('81) from University of California, Davis. She then received her master's degree in Clinical Counseling ('86) and in Marriage and Family Therapy ('88). Alice Sun, RN, MSN Alice Sun joined UHS in 1996 and serves as a Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Occupational Health. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing ('85) from San Jose State University and her master's degree in nursing ('93) from University of California, San Francisco. Marie G. Young, DNP, MSN, MPH, NP Marie G. Young joined UHS in 2012 serving as a nurse practitioner in Primary Care. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Psych Nurse practitioner, and has completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of San Francisco, a master’s degree in nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner program) from Vanderbilt University, a master’s degree in Public Health from UC Berkeley, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of San Francisco. Young has over 30 years of experience working as a nurse practitioner, and her clinical work has included care for clients of all ages and in a variety of clinical settings (including UCSF, Mission Neighborhood Health Center, RotaCare Free Clinic, SF General, Planned Parenthood and Langley Porter). She has special clinical interest in women’s health, reproductive endocrinology, and mental health.
