| Anita Backer, RN Anita Backer joined UHS in 1997 and serves as a Registered Nurse in Urgent Care, UHS advice line and travel clinic. She received her Bachelor’s in Education at St. Mary’s College and then went on to Samuel Merritt University to become a registered nurse. She is certified in Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support and is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. She serves on the professional Nurse group for International Society of Travel Medicine and also works at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center as a Nurse Educator. |

Margaret (Peggy) Brennan, RN Peggy Brennan joined UHS in 1987 and serves as a nurse in the Allergy and International Travel Clinics. She received her nursing degree from the Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in New York, NY.

Eileen Erdmann, RN Eileen joined UHS in 2011 as a Registered Nurse in Urgent Care. She received her Bachelor of Science, Forestry & Natural Resources California Polytechnic State University in 2005 and her Bachelor Science of Nursing Samuel Merritt University in 2009. She specializes in emergency medicine. |

Michelle Faust, RN Michelle joined UHS in 2011 as a Registered Nurse in Urgent Care. She received her BSN from Saint Mary’s College in 2005. She previously worked at Children’s Hospital Oakland and spent five years in ER/Trauma unit at John Muir. |

Kathleen Ferris, RN, BSN, PHN Kathleen Ferris is a Nurse Manager in Specialty/Sports Medicine Clinics who joined UHS in 1989. She received her bachelor's degree in Nursing ('94) from Samuel Merritt College of Nursing/St. Mary's College and her diploma in Nursing ('76) from St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing. In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest in college health, she has special clinical interests in Case Management. |

Teresa Ford, RN, MSN, FNP Before going into nursing, Ford originally worked at UHS for 7 years as an assistant in Physical Therapy. She has worked in AIDS care, emergency rooms, surgery clinics, and has been volunteering with the Berkeley Free Clinic since 1994. Ford is certified in basic and advanced life support, and is a state certified phlebotomist. She has special clinical interest in international nursing and emergency medicine. |

Harriet Fukushima, RN Harriet Fukushima is an Advice Nurse for Clinic 4 who joined UHS in 1997. She received her bachelor's degree from University of California, Berkeley and her nursing degree from the Samuel Merritt Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Fulbright Scholar in the United Kingdom. Fukushima also volunteered at a leprosy hospital in Nha Trang, Vietnam. |

Elaine Geffen, RN Elaine Geffen is a per diem nurse who has been with UHS since 1982. She received her bachelor's degree ('73) from Cal State Sonoma and her associate's degree in Nursing ('78) from Santa Rosa Jr. College.

Beth Gorelick, RN Beth Gorelick has been with UHS since 1989 and serves as a nurse in the Allergy/Travel Clinic. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from University of California, San Francisco. In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest in college health, she has special clinical interests in allergy and travel. |

Lynanne Jacob, RN Lynanne Jacob joined UHS in 1986 and serves as a primary care nurse. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing ('70) from Columbia University and her Family Planning Nurse Practitioner certification ('76) from University of California, San Francisco. In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest in college health, Jacob has special clinical interests in eating disorders and women's health. |

Coralie Kenton, RN, BSN, BSHD Coralie Kenton is a Primary Care staff nurse and an Advice Nurse, and she has been with UHS since 2004. Kenton received her bachelor's degree in Human Development ('81) from University of California, Davis, her nursing degree ('87) from University of California, San Francisco, and her California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential ('83) from University of California, Santa Barbara. In addition to being a general practitioner with an interest in college health, she has special clinical interests in mental illness, diabetes, and women's health Kenton is also a certified lactation (breastfeeding) educator. |

Lisa Polley, RN Lisa Polley joined UHS in 2006 and serves as a registered nurse in our Allergy and Travel Clinic. She received her BA in Psychology at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. She then went on to receive her BSN at Rush College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to her interest in Allergy and travel she also explores Women's Health & Obstetrical Nursing and Immunizations. |

Jenny Stockford, RN, PHN Jenny Stockford joined UHS in 2003 and serves as a clinic nurse. She received her Bachelor’s of Science of Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. In addition to her interest in nursing she also has a special interest in migrant farm workers health, gynecology and sexually transmitted diseases. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, as public health nurse and is bilingual in English and Spanish. |

Virginia Sorgi, RN Virginia Sorgi joined UHS in 2006, and serves as a registered nurse in our Allergy and Travel Clinic. She received her RN from the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing in Boston, MA (’72), and spent the first 34 years of her career working in acute care hospitals. At UHS Sorgi enjoys the opportunity to practice nursing in a position that prioritizes health education. |
