The Work/Life Office
The Work/Life Office, part of Faculty/Staff Health Programs at University Health Services, supports the University's academic mission through policy, program, and resource development for work/life issues. Working through collaborative partnerships within UC Berkeley and the surrounding community, our goal is to assist faculty, staff, and students in reaching a comfortable balance between their work, study, personal and family lives.
Committees and Workgroups
The mission of the Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Dependent Care is to promote a work environment for faculty, staff and non-Senate academics that enhances their ability to meet job-related responsibilities and responsibilities to children, elders, partners and others. CACDC does this by advising the Chancellor and other campus administrators on strategies, practices, programs, policies and benefits that further this goal.
The mission of the Health & Construction Workgroup is to help reduce
the impact of UC Berkeley facilities construction on faculty, staff and
students. Our goal is to foster and advocate for the physical and mental
health of the campus community in the planning, design, and construction
or renovation of buildings by working with the academic and service departments
involved in the projects.
The mission of the Financial Resources @ Cal Workgroup is to maintain a central portal for the financial educational resources available on campus for faculty, staff, and retirees. This workgroup is a collaboration of University departments working to bring together all the financial education and counseling opportunities available, organized to help across the life span.
Manager/departmental trainings "How to Implement and Manage Flexwork Arrangements" and individual consultations are available upon request.
